The main signs of poor condition on the plaster is peeling, (flaking or peeling), discoloration, unevenness, gritty, and green, yellow and black spots which can be very hard or even impossible to remove. Structural cracks as well. Those are the signs that indicate that the plaster must be replaced.
The coping is used to separate the pool unity and the deck’s concrete. This must be changed once it is cracked, with loose or missing pieces, some from coping. In case that the pieces are loose, it is very dangerous for people that are walking around the pool.
The tile is a ceramic, porcelain or glass line installed underneath the coping. Horizontally with a thickness of 6 inches around the pool and the spa as well. The waterline tile it’s one of the most important pool parts, which when these are in poor condition or with missing pieces, it makes the pool look on very bad shape, plus it causes or produces algae that’s been loose on the sides.
